Mbaswana Baptist Church
Our assignment was to visit some newly planted churches, praying that God will use us to encourage and edify the believers, while simultaneously bring sinners to salvation through the Gospel we proclaim.
We worshipped with the congregation at Olankeni, a rural church on the outskirts of Mbaswana. It was super to see them enjoying God’s blessing and growth after some struggles which hindered the ministry for some time.
The next day, we started with an early breakfast, followed by time in The Word, considering the need to be Christians who are contending for the faith in a very broken, evil and hopeless world…JUDE VS 1-2. We were struck by the similarities between the world in which Jude ministered and the one in which we are striving to do the same.
Then we were off to Manzi Ngwenya (Home of the Crocodile) Baptist Church, which is situated in remote Eastern Zululand around Lake Sibaya. This young growing church, comprised mainly of women and children, overwhelmed us with their love and zeal, founded on commitment to the body of Christ. Gifts of clothing, toiletries and literature brought great joy to all. We returned to camp for a hasty lunch, after which we distributed about 500 Gospels of John to passers by on the streets of Mbaswana, making this another wonderful day of meaningful mission in Africa. “Thank you Dear Lord for having us in your team.”
