CEBE BAPTIST CHURCH
The Cebe Baptist Church is situated on the coast in the rural/remote Centani region of the Eastern Cape, SA.
It ministers mostly to Xhosa-speaking tribal people who are generally subsistence farmers, growing maize and breeding cattle.
The church has been in existence for over seventy years. However, since Covid, like many other churches, it has struggled to regain its self-sustainability.
Recently, Pastor Aleko and I were invited to visit and minister at a Sunday service with the purpose of renewing fellowship and possibly partnering with them again.
This took place and a unanimous decision was reached for the Cebe church and Macedonian Ministries to minister in partnership for the foreseeable future.
[Pastor Aleko Mkonqwane, was born and raised in the Cebe region, where he also came to saving faith and was baptised. He later studied Theology, got married, and is currently pastoring the Peelton Baptist Church which is about 100 kilometres away.]
Please pray for this congregation.
