Brandville
This small township is situated on the outskirts of a country town surrounded by a considerable farming community known as the Midlands of KwaZulu-Natal. Unfortunately, Brandville has a chequered history of unrest which in times past has led to political insurrection.
Unemployment is high, households are struggling and the future seems bleak. However, here lives a most Godly and faithful retired senior Baptist Pastor, Rev. Leonard Zuma, who endeavours always to make a difference in his community by exalting the Good Name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
A few days ago, we had the joy of giving him about sixty Children’s Christmas Gifts, wrapped and ready for distribution to disadvantaged children. These were donated by school children from Kloof Pre-Primary School who wish to share in the spirit of Christmas by giving to others.
Together with a Gospel of John, Pastor Leonard is busy delivering these gifts to homes in Brandville, where he hopes to point families to the Christ of Christmas.
A special word of thanks to all those children who gave Christmas gifts.
In addition, thank you to those who donated materials and funding for us to assist with much needed repairs to the roof of Pastor Leonard’s home.
Please pray for him and his retirement ministry.
